Join us every second & fourth Sunday of the month as we engage in short readings and dialogue around different books.
Facilitators: Kim Dunovan & Susie Hiley
Our Fall 2024 Book:
Dignity: Its Essential Role in Resolving Conflict - Donna Hicks, Ph.D.
Series Description:
Dignity is an internal state of peace that comes with the recognition and acceptance of the value and vulnerability of all living things. (Donna Hicks, Ph.D.)
In a season primed for conflict, activation, and othering, we will intentionally explore ways to nurture connection to self and others and maintain sight of our common humanity.
This drop-in book circle series will be anchored by Dr. Hicks’ book - Dignity: Its Essential Role in Resolving Conflict. Each session will offer an opportunity to consider an element of human dignity and engage with concepts through a variety of facilitated practices.
There is no preparation necessary to join. Nothing to do but drop-in, add your voice or just listen. Readings will be supplied and we will read and discuss them together. Come when you can, each theme stands on its own.
