Flatwater… The Oto Tribe gifted Nebraska its name, meaning 'flat water,' a reflection of the flowing rivers and vast beauty of the Great Plains. Our name serves as both a tribute to the natural world and an invitation to honor the enduring legacy and wisdom of the caretakers who have shaped and loved this land before us. Now it’s our turn to learn from their stewardship, care for this land with mindfulness and respect, and build a future rooted in harmony, gratitude, and connection.
